What the role is:
Principal Consultant
Reports To: Senior Vice President of Client Strategy
About the Role:
The Principal Consultant maintains and grows relationships with Network Coverage’s Growth & Emerging Clients while achieving an assigned sales and profit growth goal. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Client Strategy, the Principal Consultant is expected to onboard new client business, retain existing business, pursue profitable growth opportunities in assigned clients, and manage & lead their Client Strategy Team.
The Principal Consultant is responsible for selling and supporting NetCov’s complete solutions and services offering to an assigned set of named accounts. Focusing on clients with high value and strategic growth opportunities, the Principal Consultant’s most important client interactions are face-to-face meetings.
The Principal Consultant is responsible for achieving a team-assigned sales and profitability goal.
Finally, The Principal Consultant directly manages and provides guidance and coaching to assigned Client Success Managers and Solutions Consultants.
Accountabilities:
Leadership, Management, Accountability (LMA)
· Set the tone for behaviors within the team by contributing to the overall culture of NetCov and serving as a role model for NetCov’s noble purpose and core values.
· Maintain a healthy and safe work environment for team members through schedule maintenance (work/life balance), professional development, and by providing coaching and guidance when needed.
· Follow NetCov's established meetings rhythms and agendas, including running Level 10 team meetings and team member 1-1s, to ensure effective communication, execution of goals, and alignment on team/NetCov priorities and metrics
· Ensures that assigned direct reports are educated on their role description, accountabilities, and performance measures.
Client Strategy
· Manages assigned clients’ implementation through the IT Roadmap (ITR) process and Business reviews.
· Develops client account plans (strategic IT management process) for all assigned clients by leading a joint company/client planning process that identifies relevant client needs, prioritizes initiatives and company investments, and establishes a clear plan for success.
· Leads all aspects of the sales process for existing clients, calling upon others to assist in solutions development and proposal delivery, as needed, or as directed by management.
Relationship Management
· Proactively monitors & manages client satisfaction, delegating to the Client Success Manager.
· Works closely with Service Delivery & Team to ensure client satisfaction and problem resolution.
· Ensures that all assigned client accounts meet NetCov’s minimum technical standards.
Solution Adoption & Value
· Retains and profitably grows firm volume, sales, and profitability through proactive management of assigned Growth & Emerging client relationships.
· Selling new or additional products or services to current clients; and/or
· Sells the firm’s complete offerings of solutions and services.
· Keep current on assigned client industries, specifically related to IT & Compliance, through associations, events, blogs, news, emails.
Cross Center Collaboration
· Liaise between internal teams to ensure quality control and overall client satisfaction.
· Participate in cross-department meetings to provide high-level technical solutions.
· Act as an escalation point for the Client Strategy team regarding relationship management and strategy requests, collaborating with internal teams to work towards solutions.
Criteria for Success:
· Ability to exhibit NetCov’s core values (Be Human. Be Accountable. Be Better) in every interaction with our community.
· Four-year college degree from an accredited institution or equivalent training.
· Minimum 10 years of industry related experience, preferably in business-to-business, Growth/strategic client segment; or
· A record of achievement in the Engagement (Sales Consultant, Account Manager) Manager Position.
Role Logistics:
· This is a full-time position
· Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6 p.m.
· This position may require travel to industry events, NetCov offices, client offices, and NetCov events where locations will vary.
· This position allows for remote work opportunities.
